What we believe about...
The Bible
The Bible is God's Word. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the truth without error. It is a sufficient Guide for Christian living.
God
God is Creator and Ruler of the universe. God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. The three are co-equal and are one God.
Humanity
People are made in the image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme objecty of God's creation. Every person has tremendous potential, yet all are separated from God by the sin and subject to physical and spiritual death.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God the Son. He became fully man by being born of a virgin. He lived a sinless human life and was the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by His death on a cross.
Salvation
Salvation is God's free gift to us, and we are free to accept it or reject it. It is only possible through faith in Christ's death alone, apart from any personal works. The evidence of salvation will be a life that is empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Creation
The heavens and earth and everything in them were made by God and are sustained by Him.
Christ's Return
We believe in the personal, bodily, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the judgment, and conscious, eternal punishment of the unsaved.
Christian Maturity
Maturity is when a believer's character becomes more like Jesus Christ. It occurs as we become partakers of God's holiness. It begins at the moment of salvation, but continues by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit through the use of spiritual disciplines. The process will be completed upon the return of Jesus Christ.
Church
The church is the Body of Christ and consists of all true believers. The ordinances given to the church are Baptism by Immersion and the Lord's Supper.
Great Commission
Jesus commanded us to go into the whole world to proclaim the gospel and to make disciples by teaching all people what He taught His followers. He assures us of His presence always.
Healing of the Body
Diviner healing of the body takes place through the prayers of God's people and in accordance with His will.
Satan
He is a created being, a fallen angel, the author of sin, a murderer, and the father of lies. He was defeated by Christ's death on the cross, and will forever be punished in Hell.
